Gemap2 ’s history dates back to the late 1970s in Piedmont, in Caraglio (Cuneo). The company was born from the vision of its founder, Michelangelo Ferrero, who, together with a small group of colleagues, opened a traditional artisan workshop. Initially focused on the manufacture and sale of construction equipment, the workshop soon took a decisive step into the energy sector, beginning to assemble its first diesel-powered generator sets (including the famous VM and Musso engines, historic engines closely tied to the Caraglio area).
In 1974, the company took a strategic turn with the establishment of Gemap Sas. Without ever abandoning the construction sector, the company focused its core business on the design and manufacture of power generators and generator sets. Thanks to the high build quality and reliability of its machines, Gemap quickly became a leading player in the domestic market, successfully expanding into industrial exports to the Middle East, particularly to competitive markets such as Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

In 1986, the company became a limited liability company (SRL) and changed its name to Gemap2: a number that does not signify a break with the past, but rather symbolizes redoubled enthusiasm and a renewed drive toward technological innovation.
In 2009, following the passing of founder Michelangelo Ferrero, leadership of the company passed to the second generation. Claudio and Massimo Ferrero, supported by Ugo Aimar, a technician with many years of experience, chose to invest in the company’s future and continuity during a challenging global economic period. Embracing the challenges of the modern market, the new management team implemented cutting-edge solutions and diversified its services to meet the needs of construction sites, industries, and events.
Today, Gemap2 continues to grow by focusing on the highest quality standards and a fleet of machinery that is constantly updated to ensure maximum energy continuity. Our main strategic assets include:
